Elections are being held in Israel tomorrow, 27 October.

Ahead of Israel’s parliamentary elections, US President Donald Trump has once again expressed his support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and urged Israeli voters to vote for Netanyahu so that ‘we can finish the work we started together.’

In a message on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump re-shared his statement of support for Netanyahu from last week, saying he and the Israeli prime minister have had a very good relationship and have achieved joint successes in various military operations.

He called the US operation against Venezuela one of the most successful military operations in history, and claimed that before that, the US and Israel had stopped Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons through ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’.

Trump further claimed that after ‘Operation Epic Fury’, Iran no longer has an effective navy or air force, and that its army and economy are also in difficulty.

He also claimed that inflation in Iran has reached 301 per cent, that access to oil has been affected by the naval blockade, and that two levels of Iran’s military and civilian leadership have been eliminated.

In his message, Trump called Netanyahu ‘an exceptional prime minister suited to wartime conditions’ and said that in the past Iran and its allies used to call ‘Israel the little Satan and America the great Satan’.

Trump claimed that slogans such as ‘Death to America, death to Israel’ are no longer heard and will not be heard in future.

At the end of his message, the US president addressed Israeli voters: ‘Elect Netanyahu as prime minister. We have to finish the work we started together.’

This is Trump’s second public endorsement of Netanyahu in a week, coming ahead of Israel’s parliamentary elections on 27 October.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that 90 per cent of the work to end Iran’s nuclear programme has been completed and only 10 per cent remains.

In an interview with Channel 14 on Sunday, two days before Israel’s parliamentary elections, Netanyahu said his electoral rivals do not have the ability to complete this mission.
