Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings continue in Balochistan. In the latest incidents, one young man has been forcibly disappeared from different areas of Kech district, while the body of another young man taken into custody three days earlier has been recovered.

Adam Akram son of Akram Ali, a 24-year-old shopkeeper and resident of Shay Tagar Ghanna in Kech district, has been forcibly disappeared by the Frontier Corps (FC).

According to the BYC, Adam Akram was taken into custody near an FC checkpost in the Shay Tagar Ghanna area of Turbat at about 3:00 am on 9 August 2026 and moved to an unknown location; there has been no trace of him since.

Adeel Baloch, a resident of Tump (Kohad) in Kech district, had been taken into custody by the Pakistani army and a death squad during a raid on Kohad bazaar. Three other young men were also taken into custody along with him and moved to an unknown location.

After just three days of disappearance, Adeel Baloch’s body was recovered from Saranken, Kech, on 23 October 2026.

According to the BYC, this killing in custody and the recovery of the body show that missing persons are being subjected to the worst torture and extrajudicially killed.

The BYC has demanded an immediate and impartial judicial inquiry into the incident and that those responsible be brought to justice.
