During the Balochistan Liberation Front’s (BLF) ongoing “Operation Almas” in Gwadar, the organisation has released an audio recording of a female fidayee speaking to the operation commander. In the audio, the female fidayee’s name is given as “Almas”, after whom this military battle has been named.
In the audio, the operation commander addresses the female fidayee, saying this operation is named after her, so she should describe the situation on the ground there and give her message to the Baloch nation.
According to the audio transcription, the female fidayee described the situation from the battlefield, saying clashes are still continuing and the bodies of several Pakistani army personnel are lying in front of her.
Describing the surroundings, she said darkness has now fallen over the area. Calling the Pakistani army cowardly, she said this army does not have the strength to face the Baloch and several of its personnel have fled the battlefield. The sounds of heavy explosions and firing can also be clearly heard in the background of the conversation.
In her message to the Baloch nation, the female fidayee strongly appealed that the war is continuing and all Baloch should become part of it, because in this era of slavery no other path is left. She declared that Gwadar will not be allowed to slip away under any circumstances.
It should be noted that reports have previously circulated in political circles that efforts are being made to run Gwadar’s administrative affairs fully under empowered federal and international interests, and the current military advance is also being linked to a war for strategic control in this region.
After this BLF operation and the release of the fidayee’s audio, the situation in Gwadar has become extremely tense; however, there has been no immediate formal response from government or military officials.
