The protest camp against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, set up by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club, has completed 6,400 days.

On this occasion, the sister of Sagheer Ahmed attended and said that her brother Sagheer Ahmed and cousin Iqrar Baloch were taken into custody at the Ormara checkpost on 11 June 2025 and then forcibly disappeared. Although witnesses’ statements have been recorded and the case is being heard by the relevant institutions, neither has been recovered, and the family is suffering severe mental anguish.

VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch demanded the recovery of all forcibly disappeared persons, including Sagheer Ahmed and Iqrar Baloch, and said that if anyone is accused, they should be produced before a magistrate within 24 hours and dealt with according to the law.

He also demanded that families be given information about the missing persons, that the incidents be investigated transparently and that those responsible be held accountable.
