The protest camp against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, set up by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club, continued today on its 6,402nd day.
Today Mehlab Baloch attended the protest camp and gave VBMP the details of the enforced disappearance of her father, Wahid Kambar.
Recording her protest against her father’s continued disappearance, she said her father has been forcibly disappeared since 19 July 2024. Because of his long disappearance, the family is suffering severe mental anguish and torment.
Mehlab Baloch appealed to the senior authorities to ensure the safe recovery of her father, Wahid Kambar, and to free the family from this agonising situation.
On this occasion, VBMP chairman Nasrullah Baloch assured Mehlab Baloch that the case of Wahid Kambar’s enforced disappearance will be submitted to the head office of the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances in Islamabad, the government and other relevant institutions.
He said they will raise their voice on every relevant forum for Wahid Kambar’s safe recovery.
Nasrullah Baloch demanded the recovery of all forcibly disappeared persons, including Wahid Kambar. If anyone is accused of anything, he said, they should be brought into the open and produced in court according to the constitution and the law, so that affected families can get justice and enforced disappearances can end.
