The protest camp against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, organised by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club, continued today on its 6,403rd day.

On this occasion, former BSO chairman Mohim Khan Baloch visited the protest camp and expressed solidarity with the families of the missing persons.

Mohim Khan Baloch demanded an end to enforced disappearances, the recovery of missing persons, and guarantees to stop incidents such as extrajudicial killings.

Expressing solidarity with the families of the missing persons, he supported their demands.

Meanwhile, the mother of forcibly disappeared Mahmood Ali Langove also joined the protest camp and recorded her protest against her son’s continued disappearance.

She said her son has been forcibly disappeared since 18 June 2024. Since then she has knocked on the doors of the judiciary, the commission and other relevant institutions and has kept up peaceful protest for his recovery and for justice, but sadly she has still not been given justice.

She said that because of her son’s long disappearance, her family is forced to live in deep anguish and mental torment, and the relevant institutions have still not given them any meaningful relief.

Mahmood Ali Langove’s mother appealed to the senior authorities to ensure her son’s safe recovery. If he is accused of anything, she said, he should be brought into the open, produced in court and dealt with according to the law of the land, so that the family can be freed from this long torment and uncertainty.
