The Royal Air Force of the Jordanian army announced on Monday that it had targeted the hideouts of alleged terrorist organisations in southern Syria.
According to the Jordanian army, the action was taken in retaliation for the victims of an attack on a church in the kingdom’s southern province of Karak, and Damascus had been taken into confidence.
It should be noted that three armed men attacked a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak, killing nine people and injuring nearly 40.
According to the Jordanian army, the operation, called ‘Jordanian Deterrence – Hamoud’, is named after the village where the church was attacked.
The army’s statement claimed that those involved in the attack belonged to terrorist organisations.
According to the statement, Royal Air Force fighter jets destroyed several terrorist hideouts, killing or injuring several militants and destroying several of their vehicles.
