According to Gaza’s health ministry, 74,494 Palestinians have been killed and 175,604 injured so far in the Israeli war that began on 7 October 2023.

The health ministry said on Wednesday that in the past 24 hours, the bodies of seven people killed by Israeli fire and 24 injured people were brought to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the ministry said the total number of deaths since the ceasefire in October 2025 has reached 1,534, while 5,486 people have been injured in that period.

The health ministry says the bodies of many victims are buried under rubble or lying in streets that ambulances and rescue teams cannot reach, as these teams are already under severe pressure.

According to the ministry, the humanitarian crisis has deepened as a result of the Israeli war. Homes and infrastructure have been destroyed on a large scale, and the system of essential services has also been paralysed.

The ministry said that although the ceasefire agreement guaranteed the unhindered delivery of aid, the Israeli army’s continuing restrictions on the entry of aid supplies and materials needed for reconstruction have made the situation even more serious.
