Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s long march, which began on 4 October, reached the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa city of Kohat on its third day. Provincial spokesperson Shafi Jan thanked the people for turning out in large numbers to welcome the long march convoy in Kohat.
In a statement on the social media platform X, Shafi Jan said the politically aware people of Kohat showed their political consciousness and commitment by taking part in the long march in large numbers.
According to him, the convoy was given a rousing welcome on arriving in the city, and participants were given full cooperation.
Shafi Jan said the hospitality, cooperation and warmth of the people of Kohat were commendable and lifted the spirits of the marchers.
He expressed hope that the people would continue to show the same spirit in future for solving public problems and promoting democratic values.
According to party leaders, Tehreek-e-Insaf may announce the next stage of the long march today.
