A woman has been killed at Kotra in the Jhal Magsi area of Balochistan.
According to police, last night within the limits of Kotra police station in Jhal Magsi, a man named Amir Hussain allegedly hacked his sister-in-law, the wife of Muharram Khan Brohi and a mother of two, to death with an axe and fled.
On receiving information about the incident, the heirs and local police reached the scene and moved the body to DHQ Gandawah; however, as no post-mortem could be carried out because there were no doctors, the heirs protested strongly and blocked the Gandawah-Notal road.
Traffic was suspended because of the family’s road-block protest.
On receiving information, the DSP reached the scene with police and the protest was ended on assurances. Meanwhile, Kotra police have registered a case on the heirs’ complaint and stepped up efforts to arrest the suspect.
