Deadly attacks on the Pakistani army continue across Balochistan as guerrilla attacks by Baloch pro-freedom organisations grow more intense by the day.

According to the latest reports, two separate armed attacks were carried out on military convoys at Daghari near Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, and in the Gidar area of Surab district, inflicting heavy loss of life and property on the occupying forces.

According to sources, the first incident took place on Sibi Road at Daghari, just 27 kilometres from Quetta, where armed men ambushed an important Pakistani army convoy of trucks and other vehicles.

The attack on a military convoy so close to Quetta has torn apart the security agencies’ security claims and so-called writ. Following their traditional policy, military officials are as usual busy covering up the attack and the casualties.

Meanwhile, reports have also been received of another successful attack on a forces’ convoy in the Gidar area of Surab district.

According to sources, at around five o’clock yesterday evening, armed men launched a heavy attack on a convoy of three forces’ vehicles passing near the Gidar grid station. The vehicles were badly hit in the surprise attack and the personnel suffered heavy loss of life and property.

No armed organisation has yet formally claimed responsibility for these latest attacks.

It should be noted that across Balochistan, Baloch pro-freedom guerrillas are intensifying attacks on Pakistani military convoys, checkpoints and government property, along with blockades of major highways, which has pushed the Pakistani army fully onto the defensive and under severe psychological pressure.
