Reports have been received that more than 15 personnel were killed in an attack on two Pakistan Coast Guards boats at sea near Jiwani tehsil in Gwadar, a coastal district of Balochistan. However, according to the latest reports, no armed organisation or group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.

These attacks on Pakistani security forces in Baloch coastal waters are being viewed as highly significant in military and political circles.

It should be noted that Pakistani forces have been targeted at sea before. The Baloch pro-freedom armed organisation, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), formed a separate unit for maritime affairs, the Hammal Maritime Defence Force, which on 12 April 2026 targeted a Pakistani navy patrol boat near Mil Tiyab in Jiwani, killing three personnel (Naik Afzal, Sepoy Jameel and Sepoy Umar).

After this latest incident on the Jiwani coast, security in the area has been put on high alert and further details are awaited. Sangar News is following this story and will bring verified details to readers as soon as they emerge.
