Naseeda Baloch, sister of forcibly disappeared Sagheer Ahmed and Iqrar Ahmed, said: on 11 June 2025, near the Ormara checkpost, my brothers Sagheer Ahmed and Iqrar Ahmed were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces. To this day no information has been obtained about them.
Today it has been one year, four months and one day since my brothers disappeared, but they are still missing.
I have knocked on every door of the state for justice. I also went to the commission, but I have still received no answer from there. I also approach the High Court, but each time I am given another date. To this day I have not been told where my brothers are, in what condition, where Sagheer is and where Iqrar is.
Today I have become helpless. I am appealing again and again, bringing my plea before the state and also raising my voice through the media. My repeated appeal to the state is that if my brothers have committed any crime, there are courts. They should be produced in court, especially before the higher courts, so that action can be taken according to the law.
I am a Pakistani citizen and I accept Pakistan’s constitution. But I want to know what my brothers’ fault is. Why were they disappeared like this? If they have committed a crime, they should be produced in court. I have the right to know what my brothers are accused of and where and in what condition they are now.
If my brothers are not brought into the open or recovered this week, I will set up a hunger strike camp with my family in front of the High Court and sit there.
I want justice, I want my brothers. I appeal to civil society, student organisations and all aware people to become my voice, to raise their voices for missing persons and to support me in the recovery of my brothers, Sagheer Ahmed and Iqrar Ahmed.
